Pay Rate: $21.00 - $23.00
Shift: 2nd shift 5P-1A
Schedule: Monday–Friday with mandatory overtime

Lofton Staffing is hiring a Band Saw Operator for a steel supplier in North Houston. This is a full-time first shift opportunity with steady hours, overtime availability, and long-term potential. We are seeking a dependable candidate with mechanical aptitude who is comfortable working in a manufacturing environment.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Operate band saws and cutting equipment to produce parts to specification
• Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
• Accurately measure and cut material to within 1/32 of an inch
• Perform quality checks using micrometers and measuring tools
• Complete routine equipment maintenance and basic upkeep
• Use hand tools to fabricate or modify components as needed
• Retrieve tube and bar stock from yard using forklift
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
• Work with team members to meet daily production goals

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

• Previous saw operation experience in a manufacturing environment
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings
• Experience using micrometers, tape measures, and hand tools
• Forklift experience required
• Reliable, safety-focused, and able to work overtime as needed
